Pete

MD Pete Bunyan started the company ten years ago after becoming a dad on his 40th birthday and realising that he couldn’t continue the excessive time away from home that his position as commercial manager for a very large global forwarder demanded.
Pete has worked in the plant & shipping industry for nearly thirty years, working at some of the largest plant dealerships in the U.K. followed by many years at some of the most prestigious global forwarders so he used this experience to start out small and focus primarily on helping customers with difficult project shipments and issues that they didn’t fully understand such as letters of credit, import/export regulations, etc.
Fast forward to 2025 and Pete still loves helping everybody from first time shippers to regular customers with new challenges.

Becky

Operations Manager Becky Bunyan and Pete’s wife of twenty years came on board in 2016 after a long-established career in logistics.
Becky helped streamline the operations functions and is now in charge of the daily running of shipments with the help of Dave, our Special Projects Manager.
Pete and Becky are celebrating 20 years of marriage in 2025, another milestone alongside Big Apples 10th birthday.

Dave

Special Projects Manager Dave Conway joined Big Apple in 2024 following a proven track record in project management at various local businesses in the South West.
Dave assists Becky with the daily operational functions such as ensuring the office has excellent biscuits at all times but is also able to leave the office at a moments notice to deal with any problems en route such as issues at the port, technical issues with the cargo, etc.
Pete met Dave many years ago during martial arts training and the two have been firm friends for many years.
Pete was delighted to finally bring Dave into the fold in 2024 and customers were also delighted with this latest addition to the team.

Lily-May

Affectionately known in the industry as “The Little Apple” Lily-May is a vital part of the team, starting out as Pete’s motivation to go solo and then appearing in all of our advertising since she was two! Lily-May has appeared in magazine campaigns in Europe and the USA and has accompanied Pete & Becky to business meetings for most of her life, in fact most of Big Apples longest running customers have all met her and always ask when she’ll be coming back.
Lily-May has attended global industrial events such as the IEDA functions based around the RB Orlando Auctions and the SC&RA Annual meeting in Austin, Texas last year where she was instantly recognised as the face of the company due to our full page adverts in the magazines handed out at the event.
Like Big Apple, Lily-May is celebrating her tenth birthday in 2025 also.
Lily-May features heavily in our advertising and merchandise celebrating our ten years trading.
Her favourite items are the new Rubik’s cube and personalised Big Apple love hearts.
